Hot runner technology, with its unique technical advantages such as cost saving and shortening the molding cycle, has become an important field of plastic injection molding technology. Advantages of hot runner technology compared with conventional cold runner:

The installation of the hot runner is directly related to the quality of the product. The following are the precautions for the installation of the hot runner:


 


1. Place the mold, level the upper mold, and clean all holes and templates with an air gun.


 


2. Check the size of each hole, check the depth, and remove the burrs on the template. At the same time, check whether the screw holes of the lock distributor plate, the center pin and the anti rotation pin holes have been processed. The first hot runner mold maker in this place often misses.


 


3. Sweep red lead at the sealing position of the hot nozzle and the upper stage position, which fit with the mold.


 


4. Try to assemble the hot nozzle, and then take it out to check whether the sealing glue position rubs the red lead and whether the step position touches the mold. If not, stop the installation, check the cause of error and adjust it to ensure tight fit without material leakage. Be careful not to damage the tip of the nozzle during this process.


 


5. Install all hot nozzles, and install the center pad, center pin and anti rotation pin, and sweep red lead on the plane.


 


6. Check the nozzle plane and center pad height, and the error is controlled within 0.05mm.


 


7. Try to install the splitter plate. Pay attention not to miss the hot nozzle sealing ring when formally installing the splitter plate.


 


8. Check the cooperation between the splitter plate and the hot nozzle to ensure that all of them touch the red lead and there is no glue leakage.


 


9. Arrange the hot nozzle wiring to make it neat and beautiful, number each group of lines in sequence, and connect the lines to the plugs.  


 


 


10. Formally install the splitter plate, lock the fixing screws of the splitter plate (pay attention to lock the balance to keep the height of the four corners of the splitter plate consistent), control the meson of the splitter plate to be 0.10-0.15mm higher than the plane of the peripheral mold frame, and then sweep the red lead on the meson of the splitter plate.


 


11. Trial assemble the code template, check whether the plane touches the meson red lead, and ensure that the template presses the meson of the splitter plate.


 


12. Lock the mold, erect the mold, and check whether the fit between the gate and nozzle tip meets the requirements from the parting surface. The nozzle tip shall be 0.1-0.2mm lower than the gate surface, and the nozzle tip shall not be eccentric. Carefully check each group of circuits with a multimeter to ensure that there is no short circuit, open circuit, leakage, etc., and each group of circuits corresponds correctly to ensure that all circuits are normal.


 


13. Connect the temperature controller for trial heating. The first heating shall be within 100 ℃. Keep it for 10 minutes for preheating and dehumidification to protect the heater; Then, heat it to the required temperature, and if it is normal, arrange to lift the mold for mold test.
