Plastic mold manufacturer The basic structure includes the following parts
(1) Formed parts
It refers to the parts that form the cavity, directly contact with the melt and form plastic parts. Usually there are punch, core, forming rod, female die, forming ring, insert and other parts. After the moving die and the fixed die are closed, the molded part determines the internal and external contours and dimensions of the plastic part. The mold cavity shown in Figure 4.1-l is composed of concave mold 3, convex mold 4 and movable template 12.
(2) Gating system
The flow that leads the plastic melt from the injector nozzle to the cavity is called the gating system, which is composed of the main runner, the shunt runner, the flexure and the cold charging well.
(3) Guide and positioning mechanism
In order to ensure that the moving die and the fixed die can be accurately guided and positioned when they are closed, guide pillars and guide sleeves are usually set on the moving die and the fixed die respectively. The deep cavity injection mold must also be provided with a conical surface positioning on the main parting surface. Sometimes, guide parts are also set to ensure the accurate movement and reset of the demoulding mechanism.
(4) Demoulding mechanism
It refers to the mechanism that releases the plastic part from the mold at the later stage of the mold opening process.
(5) Side parting core pulling mechanism
For plastic parts with side recesses or side holes, before being pulled out of the mold, lateral parting or pulling out of the side punch or side core must be carried out first.
(6) Temperature regulation system
In order to meet the requirements of the injection process on the mold temperature, the mold is equipped with a temperature regulating system for cooling or heating. For mold cooling, cooling channels are generally set in the formwork. For heating, electric heating elements are installed in or around the mold. Some injection molds must be equipped with mold temperature automatic adjustment devices.
(7) Exhaust system
In order to exhaust the original air in the mold cavity during injection filling, an exhaust measure is often set at the parting surface. The exhaust volume of small leather is not large, and the parting surface can be directly used for exhaust. The clearance between the ejector pin or core of the chess set and the matching hole can also be used for exhaust. The large injection mold must be equipped with a special exhaust slot in advance.
